I love make up.

Yes…I’m a dedicated make up wearer but ever since Sephora moved to town I’ve noticed an increase in the dent make up has made to my budget. I just can’t HELP MYSELF!

Since this realization though, I’ve had to come to terms with my need to find “make up dupes” (inexpensive products that perfectly mimic their more expensive Sephora cousins). Unfortunately, the risk in this is the inherent flaw that comes with drugstore purchases – the dreaded miss-pick. How can you be sure that the one that looks the same really performs the same?

Well, that’s why I love blogs like

It’s a really great blog that responds to people’s requests for dupes. She tries out all the potential matches for you and reports back. LOVE!

Anyhow, when I saw her dupe of Urban Decay’s Naked Palette 2 on Pintrest I just had to try it out. Who can afford to spend $50 on eye shadow anyhow?

One of her suggestions? Physicians Formula’s version for a fraction of the price:

nude eye shadow, Naked 2 Palette, Urban Decay

So I went out and bought it and ABSOLUTELY love it. I’ve worn it everyday this week! Although it has fewer options than Urban Decay and it’s a bit smaller, I prefer this version because the cost is less than a 1/3 of Urban Decay and it systematically pairs 3 sets of 3 shades together for fool-proof application (highlight shade, lid shade and eyeliner/crease shade). The pairings go from simple/shimmery day look to a darker, smokier night look.

nude eye make up, day make up looks

smokey eye make up, green eyes

Perfect for practically any eye colour. How can you go wrong?

So keep your eyes open, and try searching on the internet for perfect dupes of your favourite beauty products. Why not save your precious money for more important things! Like shopping for clothes!

Happy Shopping!
